Introduction
幻想的なロマンティックバレエ「ジゼル」をモチーフに現代版として翻案、
waqu:irazの特色である「ディバイジングシアター」で創作・上演。
ディバイジングシアターとは、既存の戯曲を用いず、演出家、振付家、俳優らが
集団で作品をつくる演劇創作の手法です。
現代の日本に生きる人々のジェンダーやアイデンティティなどの様々な悩みや葛藤を、ダンスや音楽性を盛り込み、エンターテインメントとして描きます。
"Giselle or about us" is a modern version of the dreamy romantic ballet Giselle, adapted and recreated by waqu:iraz using "Devising Theatre" which is one of company’s creative distinctions.
Devising Theatre is a theatrical creating method in which directors, choreographers, and actors
work together to create productions without the use of existing plays.
This is the entertainment show incorporating dance and music, and depicts the various worries and conflicts of people living in modern Japan, such as gender and identity.
